They came from all over central Florida to honor our protectors, hundreds of riders gathered at the High Octane Saloon in Homosassa, FL. on Sunday morning.
At 11:00 A.M. many riders saddled up and rumbled out the gate to participate in a poker run, the rest of the crowd stayed to talk and laugh with friends old and new.
There was plenty of food and drink available, at noon the line began to form in front of the on site kitchen – where else can you get a Sunday dinner of pot roast, taters and green beans for $3.00 ?
The sounds of the band wailin` could be heard from the main building that houses the saloon, tattoo shop and main stage, the Jamie Davis Band was waking up the crowd with Southern rock, blues and country.
As They finished their last set and began to pack up their guitars, a little 12 year old girl with a contagious smile stepped up to the microphone, when she began to sing the crowd went silent, awed by what they were hearing, then they erupted in applause, whistles and shouting with delight at the performance they were witnessing.
Rion Paige is an amazing singer and an amazing person, you will be hearing much more about her in the future.
All these folks had gathered for a single purpose, to support an organization that provides instruments and opportunity to military, firefighter and public servants injured in the line of duty, these are the people that have volunteered to stand for their Country – and paid a heavy price.
There were two special men present on Sunday, Corporal John Vail and Corporal Joshua White were there to represent HFH, these are young men that know firsthand the price of freedom.
